Support Rachel: the Musical by donating now!

The Crossroad Players are proud to support and celebrate Rachel: the Musical! With book and lyrics by Jessie Field and music composed by Jared Field, Rachel tells the story of Rachel Carson, author of "Silent Spring" and revolutionary activist and biologist. First staged at Brandeis University as Jessie Field's senior thesis, the production details her perilous journey to take a stand for the Earth against the destructive pesticide, DDT. With her health, her career, and her deep relationship with her friend, Dorothy, at stake, she must fight for the fate of our Earth.

Since its first showing, Rachel was featured in the New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2014. Out of thousands of applicants, the show was selected to be produced as a staged reading in a real Off-Broadway theatre. With the addition of new songs, an updated script, and the help of some amazing Broadway actors, Rachel took shape as a "must see" production.

This year, Rachel has been selected to be produced as a fully staged production in New York's Fresh Fruit Festival. Since Rachel's roots include a collaboration with many of The Crossroad Players' original co-founders and we can't think of any other way to show our pride than by supporting this innovative, relevant, and musically astounding production!
